Entrepreneur In Residence

I've joined Leeds Business School's panel of Entrepreneurs in Residence

13 years ago, Blueberry Marketing was born within the Leeds Beckett Business Incubator – the beginning of a journey that was facilitated by the network of support and advice that the Incubator provided to those just starting out. So, when I joined the panel of Entrepreneurs in Residence for the Business School last December – it felt a little like things had reached full circle.

The aim of the panel of Entrepreneurs in Residence is to provide the masters students at the Business School with guidance and input from those with hands on experience of running a business. They can help the students bridge the gap between their studies and the practicalities of managing a business day-to-day. We’re there as a sounding board, someone to bounce ideas off and provide a second opinion.

Two weeks ago, I attended one of the events the Business School holds to give the students a chance to meet the Entrepreneurs in Residence. And in reality – hearing first hand the range of business ideas and plans the students had was a learning experience for me, and over the coming months, I’ll be continuing to work closely to mentor a couple of students further. It’s a fantastic opportunity to actually give back to the same community which nurtured me all those years ago!
